Complete Your Smile With Dental Implants
At Groove Dental in Edmonton, we offer dental implants as a long-lasting, natural-looking solution for replacing missing teeth. Unlike removable dentures, implants are surgically placed into the jawbone and provide durable support for artificial teeth or dental appliances like bridges and partial dentures.

Implants consist of titanium posts that act as artificial roots. These are surgically placed into the upper or lower jawbone and later topped with a custom-made crown that matches the shape and colour of your natural teeth. Dental implants are known for their strength, stability, and ability to restore both function and appearance.

What to Expect
Consultation & Planning
To begin, x-rays and digital impressions are taken of your jaw and teeth to evaluate bone structure, gum tissue, and spacing available for an implant. In some cases, a separate bone graft procedure may be necessary to augment the jaw bone before an implant can occur.
Implant Placement
Local anesthesia is used to ensure comfort while the implant is surgically placed into the bone. Once complete, the implant is left to heal and integrate itself into the bone—a process that may take up to six weeks.
Crown Placement & Fit
After enough healing has occurred, artificial teeth are custom built and fitted to the post portion of the implant. This step may require more than one visit to achieve a perfect fit, ensuring we can provide excellent stability and comfort to the patient.
Ongoing Care & Maintenance
Dental implants require the same level of care as natural teeth. Regular flossing, brushing, and dental checkups and cleanings will help ensure your dental implant lasts a long, long time.
